In order to limit the height of the upright grands, some builders put the cabinet on the floor. The whole construction was thus adapted. The tail of the grand is now on the bottom and the tuning pins and the action are on top. Due to small production, Wilkinson's instruments are very rare. The instrument was a victim of war ar the Lys in Belgium where it received shrapnel which is still present.
