Grand Piano by Deiff, G

The instrument is veneered in cherry wood and rests on three darkly polished, column-like legs. The front section of the lid, situated in front of the keyboard, and the moulding beneath the keyboard are painted with ornamentation in the style of ebony inlays. The decorative moulding above the keyboard and the keyboard sides are adorned with bronze fittings in the Empire style. The grand piano has a two-stop action in some parts and a three-stop action in others (from C2 onwards), a Viennese action and two pedals: the bass and forte pedals; originally, there was also a piano pedal. Keyboard range: Contra F – G4 (six octaves and one note). The lower keys are fitted with ivory, the upper keys with ebony.
