Florence Gétreau proposes attributing the decoration of the main lid (oil on wood, 91 x 174.5 cm) to the Antwerp artist Hans Jordaens III (c. 1595–1643); the scene depicts "The Judgment of Midas," a faithful rendering of the text from Ovid's *Metamorphoses* (XI, 146–193).
