Originally a 'Clavecin Royal'; rebuilt toward the end of the 18th century as a piano with Stoßmechanik (without escapement), overdamping and 2 additional knee levers; veneered with burl (perhaps acacia), rosewood, lemonwood and dark rosewood; tool compartment to left of keyboard; stand with 4 square tapered legs veneered with walnut, rosewood and cherry; soundboard lacks the typical Wagner rosette
