Rectangular walnut case. Single manual, C–c², 4' pitch. Natural keys faced with boxwood, sharps with ebony. Jacks with quill plectra. The instrument's exterior appears to be unpainted wood. According to Georg Kinsky, it is the work of an amateur. This is the only way to explain the late construction of such a small instrument with a range of only three octaves (though without a short octave). A forgery is less likely, though it cannot be entirely ruled out. Given the limited information regarding details, no definitive conclusion can be reached.
