Square Piano by Rangstrom, A
Vogel (2006): Anders Rangstrom's pianos - in all but one case (Musikmuseet, Stockholm, inv. no. X5334, CEP-6420) - have under-dampers of a special, unusual type. They are in the shape of vertical wooden strips ending in felt cushions, which are placed next to the hammerheads and slightly nearer to the keyboard. Dampers are fastened to the special levers placed under the hammer rest batten, diagonally to the hammer shanks as the dampers are to the right of the hammerheads. The dampers are operated by key levers through the damper levers. The whole system is without parallel and could be Rangstrom's own invention
